Are you another AA group home? We are not affiliated with AA in any way. We treat addiction with the Word of God and the compassion of Christ. We do not insult or use physical aggression with men, as sadly happens in many AA group homes here in Mexico.
Is there a Hope House for Ladies? Yes, but it is a separate location fromHope House for Men. For inquiries about Hope House for Ladies, please contact Alesandra Salgado Geos at +52 222 855 4437.
Can family members visit addicts who are in Hope House? Yes, after the addict is admitted to Hope House, and spends a month in recovery, family visits are then arranged with our staff.
How much do Hope House's services cost? There is a minimal fee for admission and a weekly fee for the addict's expenses. This fee is not for Hope House to make a profit, but to involve the family/sponsors in the process, which will be much needed for the continued spiritual/family health of everyone when the recovered addict returns home after their stay with us.
How long are stays at Hope House? Stays vary depending on what substance the addict was using, how long they have been using it, and other spiritual and family factors. At the intake meeting with the addict and their family and/or sponsor, the stay is decided between our staff and the family and/or sponsor.
Do you accept addicts against their will? Before entering Hope House, all men need to understand that we are a Christian discipleship ministry to help them overcome addictions, and thus enter of their own free will. We are not a prison for involuntary addicts.
What materials/books do you use for addicts? The Bible is, and always will be, our primary manual for victory. In addition, we disciple men through challenge books (biblical homework assignments), that we have written so that they meditate on the Word of God. The titles of the books are "Daily with God", "First Steps", "The 10 Principles of Recovery", and "Book of Faith, Love, Virtue", etc.
